Our background: My name is Dr. Tefera Tibebu Beyene (Doctor T), co-founder of Vamatax.com and I have 20+ years of experience working at the Internal Revenue Service, over 35 years of experience in accounting, finance, auditing, taxation, and management, along with experience in government, corporate business, the financial industry, public accounting, not-for profit accounting, and international business. I have a PhD, MBA, CPA and CGMA and am a licensed CPA in 5 states, as well as being an Enrolled Agent admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service.
Vama was started to provide top of the line service in a world full of endlessly complicated tax rules and regulations that never fail to give taxpayers headaches. The last thing the average person wants to be spending their time doing is thinking about stuff like taxes and bookkeeping. For the average person, that time and energy can usually be better spent focusing on their family, their business, their career, their faith, or any other aspect of their life outside of taxes. Filling in this gap for my clients brings me fulfillment, knowing that I have the opportunity to make other peoples’ lives easier, so that they can focus on the things that they actually enjoy instead.
In addition to my tax expertise, my background in financial services allows me to bring a robust, multifaceted, and analytical approach to my clients’ tax needs. My aim is to make my clients’ lives as easy as I possibly can, and provide as much as I can in service in order to do so. I have a passion for what I do, and am dedicated to taking the tax stress out of the life of my clients, and ultimately to fulfill my goal of meeting the needs of all taxpayers, regardless of what their specific needs are.
Furthermore, Vamatax is a family business — with my son and co-founder Neb serving as our Head of Operations, leading our business development and sales efforts. His experience on Wall Street (via Morgan Stanley), time spent exploring the entertainment industry, and education from Duke University help bring an innovative, fresh perspective to our business, in order to better serve the needs of our clientele on a global footprint. Together, we form a team that is well-suited to tackle any and every taxpayer’s concern.
